I do believe the NeverTrumpers will realize too late what a massive screw up they have committed. For the first time in our lives a presidential candidate owes the “elite” in his party NOTHING. He can champion term limits and with the GOP holding the House, Senate, and Presidency he could actually pull it off. The GOP won’t like it but with the Rats in minority they will. This could actually be the year it could be done. It ain’t a panacea but getting rid of the DC sinecure would go a long way toward reigning in DC corruption.

Amen on term limits!
I say:

1. Two terms (12 years)in the Senate then you must sit out a term (6 years) before you can return to the Senate.

2. Five terms (10 years) in the House then you must sit out two terms before you can return to the House.

A decade in DC is long enough! Time to go home and experience your “governing genius” first hand!

I would also like to see stricter residency rules and actually see them enforced. (How? I don’t know.) No more “hotel rooms” or “Mom’s basement” counting as legitimate residences. If the “Congresscritters” can’t afford two residences then I think it would be in the national interest to build a swanky top drawer apartment complex for them. They stay there during the days of their congressional work. Being neighbors might even work wonders for nonpartisanship.
