When I was in my early twenties, I worked at a facility with troubled children. One of the 17 year old boys made the accusation that his father had molested him. It wasn’t true but it ruined the family. It turns out the boy was being coached by a fellow classmate, a girl, and he was taken out of the house. The family never felt safe with him there again and I don’t think he was ever allowed to return.
I’ve heard a few of those horror stories. Very sad.
