Specifically, he was quoting TMZ saying that. TMZ are an odd bunch; they remind me of the National Enquirer. They're tabloid trash with positive credibility.
If you watch the time clock on the video closely, it jumps a few times - once it jumped a full minute. So parts of the tape are missing.
Did the gas station owner edit the tape?
Did the police edit the tape?
And people have stated they have seen video of the swimmers doing the vandalism - I must be slow, because I can’t find it.
I’m not prepared to condemn Lochte until the un-edited video is released.
