Bruna Castro-Ruiz, 28, says she saw part of what unfolded early Sunday at a gas station in Rio, as Lochte and his teammates headed back to the Olympic village. (She says she has already spoken to police about what she saw.) Lochte has said the foursome was robbed at gunpoint after stopping at the gas station on the taxi ride home an account he has changed slightly from earlier versions given to media. But local police later told PEOPLE that one of the swimmers in the group was seen on security video allegedly damaging a bathroom at the gas station, and that the swimmers gave over their wallets as payment for the incident.

Stop yer American Hating ....
“Stop yer American Hating ....”
Thank you for your thoughtful response, Saul.
Also, the timeline in the linked news video says they were only in the restroom for 1 minute. How could they have done much damage in 1 minute and how could the station’s guard know immediately they’d done something? Too many different versions out there to know what really happened.
Well, like I said, those guys are now willing to say they lied, recant anything, pay thousands just to make it all go away before that garbage pit puts them all in jail down there.....

Why did Lochte lie in the first place?
This story still has legs?
The longer it goes on, the madder the Brazilian authorities will pretend to be.
Oh, they must be democRATs.
These kids could have put a quick end to all the reporters and cameras being stuck in front of their faces simply by putting on a Hillary For President T-shirt.
I made no such statement. You are attempting to put words in my mouth by failing to read carefully what I did say.
So your big deal is about whether or not the gun was pointed at/placed ? on his forehead, as if where it was pointed and how it was specifically pointed is more important than the fact A F***ING GUN WAS POINTED AT THEM.
I'm kinda thinking the big deal is that the Gun was pointed at them. That it was pointed at his or their foreheads may or may not have been an embellishment, but that is the mole hill of significance and not the Mountain.
One would get the impression that you would have no objections to having a gun pointed at you provided it isn't pointed at/placed on your forehead. I assure you, a gun pointed elsewhere can kill you in a thoroughly unpleasant manner, and so it isn't terribly significant in terms of a threat to your life, where the gun was pointed.
I'm thinking you need to work on this concept called "Priorities", because you don't seem to have any triage when it comes to levels of importance here.
But for what it's worth, I think that the Brazilian rent-a-cop quite likely puffed up his "machismo" and really did point that gun at the man's head, and possibly even placed it on his forehead.
He was simply a boy who lied to his mother about what happened to his watch. It was his mother who went public with the story, which then spun out of control.
Lesson to all:
Don't lie to your mother! Not because it's bad, but because they can't stop themselves from meddling in your affairs, and if you tell them a lie they will meddle anyway and just make it worse.
As the commercial goes, it's what they do.

They show them at a gas station when Lochte said they were pulled over on the road....
When I said "the video does not clearly show anything", it was in reference to where the gun was pointed. Yes, some of the video clearly showed things, but the part with the gun cannot be clearly seen.
So as for them "being pulled over", did you see them get out of the cab? Have you ever been drinking all night long? If I had gotten in the cab, and I was three sheets to the wind, I might have believed I had been pulled over when I was forced to get back out of the cab.
Why are people so intent on trying to find mistakes (which they are trying desperately to characterize as "lies") in an admittedly "drunk on his @$$" man? He's telling the event from what it looked like to him at the time.
That a drunk's memory and reality may not completely jive is a long known characteristic of drunkenness.
They show them at the gas station after 6AM when Lochte said he had returned around 4 AM.
Let me ask you again. Have you ever drank all night long? Apparently this sort of experience is not something you are familiar with. If a guy has been drinking all night long, it isn't a wonder that he can't remember what time he got home, and it wouldn't be a wonder if he couldn't remember what day it was.
Why do you and others think you need to nitpick the trivial details about which a drunk might have not remembered correctly, but somehow want to gloss over the proven evidence that someone did point a gun at him and take money from him?
You are missing the forest for the trees.
Uh, on national TV hepisode was in no way ‘fuzzy’ as he recounted details ....
Is that Hillary's problem ?
He had a gun pulled on him didn’t he?
“He had a gun pulled on him didnt he?”
You run around drunk messing up things at 6AM in a third world country and you expect less?
