It is tough being the boss and then taking advice from other people and then not being the boss. In my short experience in politics I don’t think candidates trust their gut as much as they should. The bring in these “experts” and a lot of times it turns against them. I’ve seen candidates lose leads because they take the advice of the “experts.” Just my two cents.
Trump understands that there are many parts to this campaign, like building a sky scrapper, the company doing the foundation isn’t going to be the same company doing the steel skeleton, the company doing the skeleton isn’t going to be the same company doing the electrical work, the company doing the electrical work isn’t going to be doing the plumbing
That is what is going on here
Trump is using the best people a specific task or goal.
We call that smart leadership
That is big, but the elephant in the room was Manafort’s brewing “scandal” of his Russian/Ukraine consulting, which was a bomb ready to explode. Trump didn’t need that.
Manafort took one for the team. He knew his work in the Ukraine was going to be used against Trump.
“I dont think candidates trust their gut as much as they should”
Hard to trust your gut if you think it can’t be trusted.
Trump is going to go with what got him where he is - his instincts.
Can’t say I blame him, or that it’s a bad strategy.
