United States Olympic Committee CEO Scott Blackmun released a statement late Thursday night that largely confirmed what Brazilian authorities made public earlier in the day. Ryan Lochte and three of his USA swimming teammates concocted a story about being held up at gunpoint by men posing as police officers while returning to the athletes' Olympic Village early Sunday morning.

The USOC apologized to Brazil in the statement and gave more context to the latest news developing in the case. "The behavior of these athletes is not acceptable, nor does it represent the values of Team USA or the conduct of the vast majority of its members," the USOC's statement reads.

Damn, man. The speed and ferocity with which the left-wing media got to the bottom of this story you'd think the guy lied about mishandling classified information that led to the deaths of important assets of the American government.

Oh. Wait. No you wouldn't.

“This was probably a $50 million error in judgment. No Nike deal, no Wheaties box for him.”

Perhaps, but in todays American bad boy era they will zoom to the top of the pop chart idols, look for endorsements from other sources. For example Dodge was selling the new challengers as the perfect villains car.

Mmmm I don’t give a rats patootie about this. When Brazil and the rest of the SA countries call all their illegal citizens back home I might start to pay attention. Til then they can kiss it.
