Republican Donald Trump is surging with African American voters and gaining more support from Latino voters than Mitt Romney and John McCain.
The latest LA Times Daybreak poll has Hillary up by just six-tenths of a point.
Trump is surging with black voters and doing better with Latino voters than Romney or McCain.
In the last ten presidential election cycles the highest black vote share for a Republican was 12% for Bob Dole in 1996. Trump has 14.6% of the black vote in today’s LA Times poll.
If Donald Trump captured 25 percent of the African American vote he would win in a landslide.
And Trump has 26.7% of the Latino vote.
Mitt Romney gained 21 percent of the Latino vote in the 2012 election. Senator John McCain received 23 percent of the Latino vote in the 2008 election.

I spoke to my hairdresser yesterday about Trump. By the way, he’s a former Marine. He’s a big Trump supporter and said that when he has a client he eases into talk about the election. More times than not they’re reluctant to say who they’re voting for and when he proclaims that he’s for Trump they whisper “so am I”. I think lots of folks think it’s not politically correct to say out loud that you like Trump but will vote for him.

You have to be an American Citizen to have 'rights'....are African Americans real citizens? If so why do they keep attaching African to America, where they live and were born? Aren't they being racist also?

So what? There are always people like that. Last election, there were people on this site hoping Romney would lose so that things would get so bad that the American people would wake up and elect a “real” conservative. I get why people don’t like Trump. I don’t either. But Hillary would be FAR worse and Trump might do some good.
This PC speech is EXACTLY what Trump is fighting in this country, the fact that people ARE AFRAID to speak their mind shows just HOW MUCH the government has brainwashed the masses!!! The silent majority is OUT THERE and I believe folks are going to be SHOCKED on Election Day !!! The ONLY thing I have seen that has come close to putting a blemish on Trump is the GOLD STAR family meme, Trump NEEDS to HIT BACK violently WITH HIS OWN Gold Star Families he has FAR MORE of them that HELLARY does!!!

There weren’t a bunch of people in the media who are conservatives saying they won’t vote for Romney, or he’s going to lose. The person was asking if the polls the media were discussing were accurate, and I said that people like Joe Scarborough, Bill Kristol, Dana Perino want Hillary to win, so they’re hyping polls where Trump looks bad.
I saw some TV coverage of the first Rams preseason game in the Coliseum. If you hadn't known, you would have guessed it was an exhibition game in Mexico City.
I bet there will be lots of fighting and violence at Rams games this year just like happens in Oakland and San Francisco. Could really hurt the chances for a long term return of the NFL to LA.
I’ve seen this now in two polls.
The big thing is there are blacks and blacks, just as with the rest of us. I frequently eat at a truck stop frequented by many black tuck drivers. I’ve never had a,problem with any of those gentlemen and never had my Navigator vandalized, regardless of the Trump bumper sticker. It’s that group of decent, law abiding black people to whom Trump is appealing. In their desperation to show how unbiased they were, establishment Republicans tried to out Sharpton Sharpton,a hopeless effort that just alienated law abiding blacks. Trump, OTOH, has hit the target by appealing to the common interests of all law abiding working people.

People are reluctant to be openly for Trump unless they are with friends. This is in deep red Alabama. Almost everyone I hang with is totally Trump. However we only talk about it privately. People are nuts out there. The few liberals I know start foaming and screeching the minute the word Trump comes up. I’ve never seen anything like it. If you mention anything about the same things being said about Reagan it really gets weird. I never knew the left had sainted Reagan.
There are zero Hillary signs or stickers in Joisey. Hell, I see way more Obama/Biden stickers on older cars. I am shocked at how vocal Trump supporters are. Barber shops are a great retreat for Trumpers. Everyone admits that they are not putting up lawn signs or stickers on their cars because of fear of retribution
