WASHINGTONNew details of the $400 million U.S. payment to Iran earlier this year depict a tightly scripted exchange specifically timed to the release of several American prisoners held in Iran, based on accounts from U.S. officials and others briefed on the operation.

What utter BS.
Oh wow, we are TOUGH, huh..!?
RIDICULOUS.
Then how come they weren’t allowed to leave until the ransom arrived?
How does the song go? Baloney is my first name....
This is a fabricated "Puff Piece" by the WSJ to take some of the 'sting' and public humiliation off the administration.
This "Puff Piece" negates what one of the exchanged prisoners has already publicly stated.
Who are you going to believe : the administration , or one of the exchanged prisoners.
This administration already has a public record of their reliability and untruthfulness, and outright deceit !
Oh I get it it, so it wasn’t ransom because the prisoners were the ransom payment, not the money! It was the other way around! What a bunch of maroons all the dweebs are who think WE paid the ransom. Those Obama regime guys are super smart!
Geez.....when did the WSJ go to the dark side?
It was a ransom - just used Iran’s own money....
I think in the dictionary you find this under “ransom.”
Agreed. The State Department folks are d*mnable liars.
