I think he was convicted by a by British court. Article doesn't say specifically, just says he's from Britain.
Personally, I'm glad to see it. Sentencing in September.

Read it and we can see why we cannot let Muslims in the US.
This Choudary guy should have been tried for treason years ago.
Look at the photos in the link above. Every single person with him should be locked up or deported.
So this conviction is a good development.
But the cynicism in me says his sentence will be light or even suspended.
