The guy must be trying to raise money for his company. A month ago I was at a 2 hour overview by one of the top professors in the field. Quantum computing has got a _long_ way to go before it can be used on real world problems.
Sort of like fusion - it’s been 10 years in the future for the last 50 years.
It’s probably a long way to go before it can match the performance of high end supercomputers. But I did read today that they now can get a sustained performance of 1000 qubits, although I don’t know how to relate that to a sequential computer performance.
