Milwaukee Shooting, Rioting: Why Are the Police Always Blamed?
The New American ^ | C. Mitchell Shaw

Posted on 08/15/2016 2:36:58 PM PDT by detective

Following a fatal police shooting of an armed black suspect Saturday afternoon, Milwaukee erupted into the requisite rioting and looting that has become the hallmark of lawlessness so common in the inner cities of America. As of this writing, at least six businesses including banks and gas stations have been burned, at least four police officers have been injured, and an unknown number of civilians — mostly white — have been attacked by mobs.

The violence and destruction only came under control when Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke called in the national guard. After speaking with Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and Wisconsin National Guard Major General Donald Dunbar, Clarke made the decision to put the Guard on standby, saying, “We cannot allow for a repeat of what happened last night. I am going to utilize all available resources to accomplish that.”

This I a good summary of what really happened in Milwaukee. It is impossible to get accurate information from the MSM.

Apparently it is now racist to enforce laws on black people.
Just like it is racist to stop Islamics from killing people.
Interferes with their civil rights.

Trayvon, Gentle Giant —you look for juuuuust a little more and you find out they were total criminals.

Yet they are transformed into heroes.

This means now I doubt the famous story of Emmett Till, the boy who was hunge “merely on allegations he made a cat call at an attractive white woman”.

It seems to fit the pattern of a story about a exalted, benign person from that of a person who in reality is actually quite hardened and chaotic.

Was Till actually a total gang-banger? NOW I would not be surprised.

NOW I also don’t terribly doubt the stories about MLK’s hobby of beating up blond ho’s, either.

“Why Are the Police Always Blamed?”

Stupid question.

The proper question should be: “Why do thugs and their sympathizers in the media and politics always blame the police?”

The answer would then be obvious.

I have an alternate summary that’s much shorter - the aftermath has been a concerted direct attack on Sheriff Clarke for publically speaking out against black violence.

More naivete from the "truth and logic" crowd. I'm all for truth and logic, but we've crossed the Rubicon with trying to persuade these people.

Too many people in the Conservative movement seem to think that Liberals, especially ones in leadership, are simply misguided and confused.

THEY ARE NOT.

They know EXACTLY what they're doing.

This is an insurrection. The time for debate is over.

Why Are the Police Always Blamed?

Because that's the whole point?

If getting upset about violence and brutality suffered by Black people was the point, the demonstrations after each weekend's Black-on-Black carnage in Chicago would number in the millions.

People need to listen to Andrew Wilkow. He is giving a fresh perspective on this - that local governments have ABANDONED their leadership and surrendered it to the Feds. And that key players in the BLM movement are now parlaying that into leadership positions in the Left (see Van Jones on CNN, DeRay McKesson running for Baltimore Mayor, etc).

I was disappointed that Clarke called Walker to call in the Guard. Notice that nowhere, nobody is pointing the finger at Barrett or the Democrat city council. The Milwaukee Police Dept ANSWERS to the Mayor and the city councilmen - not to the Governor, the Sheriff, or to the Feds.

Because the goal is a nationalized Police force.

Why?........Because ever since “Occupy Whatever” started there has been a strong desire by Democrats to have a bloody, class war in the American streets.

The Democrats want violence and they want extreme violence.

Because the MSM is run by America-hating American traitors. Same reason they lie about Trump and cover up for every criminal RAT.

“The reality, though, is that the blame for the death of Sylville Smith lays squarely at his own feet. If he had not responded to the repeated order to drop the gun by raising it to point it at the officer, he would not have created the situation where the officer had to choose between his own life and Smith’s. No one put that gun in his hand. No one forced him to run. No one compelled him to turn and try to take aim at the officer. And no one else is to blame.”

Sums it up nicely.

What ever happened to shooting and arresting looters? Oh, I see. This is merely reparations.

The left doesn’t want the rule of law or accountability taught. If it was, they would lose voters.

This is a horrible summary of what happened. The Sheriff didn't call up the national guard, because he can't. The governor called up the Guard, because he has the authority to do so.

What the author should be pointing out is that the mayor and several aldermen antagonized the situation through either really stupid or completely calculated remarks.

Of all the possibilities the most overlooked is that ISIS or any terrorist group is in the middle of this.Just think of what damage they are doing to the inter structure of America and do not think for a minute suicide by Cop is not a good weapon to destroy the safety of Americans. I cannot believe our government is not exploring this because there are millions of dollars coming into America for this. George Soros a Big Hillary backer spends plenty and we all know the Democrats despise Police Officers.

Thanks for the reply.

From the article:

“Alderman Khalif Rainey said the riots, looting, and destruction are a “warning cry” by those “tired of living under” the “oppression” of the city of Milwaukee. He described the city as “the worst place to live for African-Americans in the entire country” and indicated that more violence will follow unless the city amends its oppressive ways:

This entire community has sat back and witnessed how Milwaukee has become the worst place to live for African-Americans in the entire country. Now this is a warning cry. Where do we go from here? Where do we go as a community from here?

You're one day away. The black people of Milwaukee are tired. They're tired of living under this oppression. This is their existence. This is their life. This is the life of their children.

Now what has happened tonight may have not been right; I'm not justifying that. But no one can deny the fact that there's problems, racial problems, here in Milwaukee, that have to be closely, not examined, but rectified. Rectify this immediately. Because if you don't, this vision of downtown, all of that, you're one day away. You're one day away.”

The article talked about one alderman making the problem worse. Were there others?

The article said, "Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke called in the national guard. After speaking with Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and Wisconsin National Guard Major General Donald Dunbar, Clarke made the decision to put the Guard on standby?"

It appears the article should have been more accurate about this point.

This is where the article sums up the narrative well:

“The reality, though, is that the blame for the death of Sylville Smith lays squarely at his own feet. If he had not responded to the repeated order to drop the gun by raising it to point it at the officer, he would not have created the situation where the officer had to choose between his own life and Smith’s. No one put that gun in his hand. No one forced him to run. No one compelled him to turn and try to take aim at the officer. And no one else is to blame.

Just don’t expect those clear facts to get in the way of a “good” narrative. That narrative is that “racist” white society is to blame.”
