On Monday morning in The New York Times, Comedy Central announced that it will be canceling almost effective immediately far-left comedian Larry Wilmores The Nightly Show after only a year and a half on the air of mocking and smearing conservatives to the delight of television critics and other liberal journalists from coast-to-coast.
Comedy Central President Kent Alterman revealed that, along with the fact that the contracts of Wilmore and other staffers are set to expire, Wilmores show simply hasnt resonated despite hoping against hope that it would start to click.

Not enough diversity on that channel. By that I mean content that wouldn’t make a conservative viewer turn the channel in 15 second.
It’s a liberal show that all 10 people who watch are TV critics who rave about the show. How many people watched “Girls” or “Newsroom?” 50 total?
who?........what?.......sniff
So, is that like only 97.29% effective?
Tosh.0 - Guilty pleasure.
Comedy Central must be racist to cancel Larry’s show.
Absolutely, and given his 0.3 to Wilmore's 0.2, N0ah probably will be shown the door next year. You have to dig Snow White Alterman (left) calling out Wilmore in the article as everything but the obvious...one must presume that (A) Trevor is slightly less uppity; and (B) Larry pissed in the punch bowl... |
But listen, nothing was more satisfying than Sorkin getting stuffed on not one, not two, but THREE back-to-back series ("Sports Night" 98-00 / "Studio 60" 06-07 / "The Newsroom" 12-14) with NONE making the required third season necessary to trigger the mega-re$iduals.
Unfortunately he also wrote two 4 of 5 star movies in between: "The Social Network" and "Moneyball". The Social Network - no one should be allowed to sign up for Facebook without watching TSN first. Moneyball just great for the sabermetrics v stochastics, plus the character studies.
TV Grim Reaper @TVGrimReaper · 3h3 hours ago If Wilmore had the ratings and no social media efforts at all, he wouldn't have been cancelled.
South Park, TripTank and Tosh.0, though the latter has been on a downward slide. Most of the rest is garbage.
