If people are going to routinely live to be 80-90 years old, this makes sense. In fact, 69 might not be old enough.

So you can either work longer (the German Central Bank solution) or you can live shorter (the Obamacare solution). I prefer the former over the latter.

They are proposing this solely with funding pensions in mind. And even worse, it’s a central bank dictating socio-economic policy.

Soon to be 68 and meeting with hundreds of my high school classmates; I note the wide variability of how age defends upon us.

Friends once vital are feeble. Some are barely looking fifty. Some are dead and some are new fathers.

Chronological age is a poor judge of when retirement assistance is needed.

Just because life span is longer doesn’t mean you have energy to work full time at 70, it may seem right but many do not have the mental/physical agility.
