I live in Raleigh and WRAL has been liberal for a long time!
I remember when Jesse Helms worked at WRAL; he did a commentary after the evening local news. Quite conservative, and I think it helped him get elected to the Senate.
His commentaries were first of its kind in NC. A different viewpoint (I think Viewpoint was the name of his commentary). He was quite provocative. I was a kid and didn’t know what to think of him.
Yes, I know (WRAL has been liberal for a long time). I am in the Raleigh area also. WRAL is so liberal now I won’t watch it at all. They are sickening.
