I think this state is ripe for a Trump victory in November. The Democrat governor (Malloy) was re-elected only by the skin of his teeth in 2014 and he’s more unpopular now than he was then. Many neighbors and people I speak to down here are openly for Trump and are fed up with politics as usual.

From your keyboard, Sam!!

Have a safe trip...both times :) Praying you all make it in and have a great time. Looking forward to your reports.

I’m parked near the site now at a local mall in Trumbull. Drove around the venue a couple time to get a feel of the place. Not much going on now but temporary police “no parking” signs are all around the local streets. I assume the police will be out in force later directing people to parking lots.

Doors open at 4:30 so I plan to be back around 3pm. Only 9.8 miles from my house and easy back roads the whole way. Trump really had my convenience in mind when he planned this.

Thank you Donald!

I've been back home for about an hour or now. I have my wife drinking bottle after bottle of cold water to hydrate. We plan to head back over there about 2:30. Doors open at 4:30 so hopefully we don't have to wait in the sun too long.

If it was just me, I'd probably be waiting in line now as I love the heat and I like the excitement of being there and watching the crowds gather. I'm a people-watcher. But my wife really has low tolerance for the heat and she's nervous about going to begin with because she watches the mainstream media and pictures hordes of protesters out to hurt us and throw rocks at us and such. I mean she really scared this might happen. It's a shame that the media and liberals have managed to create this atmosphere of hate around Trump. I'm hoping that when she sees how positive Trump's rallies really are, she'll feel better about voting for him in November.

For decades, we've been hoping for a rogue "non-politician" to come along and clean house. I believe we have that in Trump and this is probably our only real chance to change the game.

Despite the negativity (even among many here on Free Republic, which I'm surprised to see), I have the expectation that Trump will prevail in the November election. We simply need to ignore the negativity surrounding us and get out to vote. If all the good people of America ignore the polls and the media, do their duty and exercise their right to vote this November, we will have the right outcome.
