You miss my point. Mugabe was the "revolutionary," who like Lenin, Mao, Castro or Pol Pot, etc... controls the party top-to-bottom and can pursue any ridiculous ideology he wants. When he dies, what is left is the top thugs and apparatchiks. They can, like in China, decide to not go to war with each other and let the country have some stability and they all can share in whatever is gained, OR they can struggle and fight to see who becomes the top dog all over again. It being Africa, the likelihood is the latter.
Having traveled in Africa...including southern Africa...it's hard for me to be optimistic about Zimbabwe's future.Or South Africa's for that matter
