Could have been bait for the press, to discuss or debate "old" issues while claiming they are not "new." That would preoccupy the press with covering a litany of issues.

As for the DOJ scratching the surface of Clinton's corruption, I have no faith in the honesty of the government. None. It is a cesspool.

You're absolutely correct re 'cesspool' .. the literal filth of it all.

The utter mess our progeny will inherit is truly soul-wrenching.
Policy minutia aside, perhaps the thing Trump most represents at this point in our national decline is HOPE.
Because if he/we don't pull this off in November, it's not hard to imagine 1861 redux.
