‘IG’s MONITOR - they don’t actually DO anything worthwhile! They are paid to investigate, write reports and wait for the next scandal to emerge’
Reminds me of that new TV commercial where the ‘Termite monitor’ lets the homeowners know they have termites, but then just leaves.....he’s the MONITOR, not the exterminator. And then the ‘Dental Cavity monitor’ lets you know that you have a cavity, then he and the hygienist leave for lunch. They really aren’t there TO DO ANYTHING.
The Inspectors General office in the military operates under the assumption that commanders at each level will take their investigations and findings under advisement and make sound decisions based on their recommendations. Unfortunately, Obama and his policy minions have thoroughly poisoned command influence, effectively destroying any influence the IG may provide.
That was what my remark was in reference to but you took the time to lay it out and I didn’t...I thought people would get it and you did. It’s exactly what I think of each time I read about a Federal IG - no matter the agency! I’ve said for a long time - do away with them and save the salaries/pensions/benefits/perks/office rent, etc.
