The video is a must watch. The vehicle passes between two officers essentially shooting at each other. At about 5:41 on the video an officer reloads while pointing his weapon at another officer.

Obama’s “home town,” in a manner of speaking.
You need to watch it. It occurs early on and is quite unbelievable. Two officers exit their unit, stand on either side of the street opposite one another, and fire continuously as the vehicle passes between them. Crazy safety violation. Whether they were right or wrong in shooting the suspect, they all need to be benched as an extreme danger to one another.
That is a lot of shooting considering it took place in a neighborhood. A good thing there were no unintended casualties.
Chicago Police: Judges, Jurors and Executioners! But some places, if you shoot an intruder, like in Chicopee, MA the other day, you can be charged with murder. As Mel Brooks would say: “It’s good to be the King , er Cop!”
so...have I got this right? we got two unmarked chasing the jag, copcam1/2 see the driver coming at them and decide to tandem shoot after the driver avoids their vehicle, the cops down the street think the bullets coming at them are the driver shooting, when it was copcam1/2 cops that were doing the shooting? and another cop down the street ends up shooting the driver and taking the fall, thinking he’s doing the right thing taking out an armed driver?
If anyone asked me, I’d say this whole shoot is a cluster.... and my sympathies go out to cop down the street
how did the car get stolen to begin with?
Alledgedly stolen vehicle," "appears to show failure of protocol..," etc.
Chicago seems to be well seasoned for choking on flies and swallowing camels, reported on "he deadliest day" in the city's history, stacking high the dead of many thousands where police are usually the last show.
That jag was a weapon, a deadly weapon. Now, I ain't saying the perp deserved what happened...but stopping a driver who is sailing around evading apprehension, in a stolen car, clearly showing a reckless willingness to kill, and stopping him in his tracks, ASAP, before some truly innocent child gets run over seems prudent to me.
Yet, alas, this is Rahm's city, and that of the chumps who voted for him, so it will take a lot of bother and tax money to "Prove Innocence" on the part of the officers.
Chicago Police Department General Order G03-02-03

E. Firing at or into a moving vehicle when the vehicle is the only force used against the sworn member or another person.
Well, that’s a dumb rule.
Cars kill.
