............I think there are a lot of us who had our lives controlled and in some cases lost by events surrounding Vietnam in our late teens and twenties hope the Cong and NVA get their ass’s kicked. That said, most of us want cry a tear over dead Chinese soldiers either! Let the shooting begin!

A little further south they can find millions of muzzies to kill too if they want.

Just be aware, Vietnam is not the same country it was. I know it is still technically, but it is also quite different now.

The average age of the people there is very young. I believe 24 and change. That means almost two entire generations have arrived now since the war there ended. And they won the conflict, I have to say, I have detected no animosity currently, toward Americans. We seem to remember it quite strongly still, but they seem to have moved on.

In fact the country seems quite well-behaved now. More than some of their neighbors.

There are still many people there, who were there during the war, but there are a whole huge lot of them who have zero connection whatsoever with what happened in the war.

It is a very interesting country. Probably not what you remember.

Neither the Viet-Cong or the NVA exist anymore. There is no “North” Vietnam.
