I haven’t read though all of the 250 some posts on this thread so maybe someone else has already posted this.
Trump talks in short hand. He doesn’t always fully explain himself. Other people, including his advisers have said the same thing. This is habit that Trump is going to have watch himself on because they media is more than ready to fill in the blanks for Trump.
I’m 100% for Trump and I say let Donald be Donald. But he needs to be aware of the fact that he has to explain his points in their entirely or the press will distort them. The press will still distort what Trump says but don’t make it easy for them.
How much airtime would Trump get to explain his positions if he explained them entirely in his rallies with precise, clear uncontroversial language? IMO he would get ten times less than he does being himself.
