I find it's actually fairly common &mdahs; with respect to government, I remember the Waco investigations and how the ATF (et al) were being investigated for essentially being the aggressors towards [and essentially murdering] those inside the Branch Davidian compound and how the FBI (IIRC) essentially counter-accused (IIRC child molestation) trying to turn the issue from properly following procedures into essentially well they were bad-guys and so didn't deserve rights!.

It really doesn't hold up because child molestation is illegal, and that's not the issue cited in the warrant. (It was a tax-issue; one which the Davidians asserted they took care of and, in a sane world, which should have been clarified in a civil court* [as the government was claiming one reading of the regulations which was vague and the Davidians disputed].)

* To automatically throw such a dispute into criminal court is to deny the ability to petition the government via the Judiciary for clarification of rules without becoming a criminal or opening yourself to the possibility of being charged as one.
