No—the child care deduction is an abomination! Subsidizing the institutionalization of children and the nannies of the upper-middle class.
That means those families with a mother staying home with small children will subsidize those who outsource their childrearing. For more mothers, working outside the home will become an economic imperative. Families that come up with their own solution, say with their grandparents, will be hard, as will singles and those without children—as part of redistributionism that makes Ivanka feel better in her NYC society.
And, less of the tax cuts go to the economy-helping reduction in rates, and more in the social-engineering doling out of tax breaks.
This is the one horrible part of his otherwise good speech and plan!
