I think she just picked a bad phrase to describe not making a “connect the dots” argument. She said similar, though she and wallace were talking past each other. It’s just a BS excuse. The dot she added is the obvious lie, that what she tole Comey and what she told the public are consistent.

But a politician would not cover their tracks in that way (saying short circuit).
They would say I mis-spoke or something to that effect.
