Yeah; Hill said they were “flat broke” when they left the White House. IIRC, nine months later, they put almost $900,000 in cash as a down payment on a house, and got a $1.995 million mortgage. People who are flat broke simply do not do that.

Hill said they were “flat broke” when they left the White House. Why else would she have to stay all that silverware and china along with some artwork, they couldn't afford to set a table.
