A top benefits appeals manager at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) didn’t show up for work for six months but kept cashing his federal paycheck as he opened and operated a motorcycle apparel and accessories business.
Robert Gingell was paid $140,000 a year by VA throughout the time he claimed he was sick or working from home. He retired in September 2015 after being caught but was subjected to no punishment or restitution. He now operates Renegade Classics Northern Virginia in Manassas, Va., part of a nationwide chain of outlets that specializes in clothing and gear that appeals to Harley-Davidson owners.
Gingell was a GS-15 civil servant — the highest paid General Schedule category — serving as a Supervisory Administrative Service Manager at the Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA). The BVA hears appeals from veterans whose claims have been denied.
Records show Gingell’s store was incorporated in December 2014, and he created a Facebook page the same month claiming the business was “coming soon.”
An unpublished VA Inspector General (IG) report obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation said “time and attendance records reflected that [Gingell] was on sick leave more than 22 weeks between January and August 2015.”

When I started teaching in California, 30+ years ago, it worked like this. You were allowed to accumulate unlimited sick days over your career. If one enjoyed good health, it was possible to “retire” a couple of years early by taking your sick leave. You went to a sympathetic doctor, claimed exhaustion and he would order time off. It was apparently a common-place perk at the time. Yet another reason why Cali has so many pension problems
Government Union. I’m in a Union and we work for it. Government unions are useless sponges soaking cash and raping taxpayers.
Chicago reports their votes after everyone else and don’t forget that Minnesota debacle, when they needed some extra votes they miraculously found 500 votes in a box in the back of somebody’s trunk—miraculously all of them were for Al Franken. This travesty was allowed to go through and Franken won.
We have to come together and figure out all their tricks and how to get around them. Our RINO leaders are lackadaisical, they need some fire in their bellies.
We hear the term voter fraud but it is not the individual voters who are committing the fraud it is the Democrat political machines that have owned these cities for generations. They have the ways and the means not to mention the motivations to commit widespread election fraud. They have all the materials at hand. They have the names of the dead, the names of those who have moved, the vacant lots, they have the ballots in their hands and they have time to commit fraud at their leisure. They can take ballots home and fill them out. They can take Republican ballots and throw them in the trash. These people have no honor.
