It is very easy to contain the spread of information while sustaining an illusion of free and open flow of information, even though it is possible for accurate information to flow around the globe in seconds, that does not mean the right things are covered, or that the events covered, are covered honestly.

It’s all a matter of trust; if the public trusts the media is portraying events accurately, they won’t dig on their own. And so now it occurs to me why the media ads for their own news shows emphasize “trust.” If they should really be trusted, why do they have to sell it so hard?
