The only thing I can say is trump did not approach the Khan situation smartly.
The good news. It will be forgotten in a week. Once a few more emails come out and they get back to attacking trump they’ll feel the wrath. I don’t think Trump has lost one single vote from a supporter. Not one.
He knew it after the interview was taped, and had a press release out before the interview aired. He has never, not one time, raised Khan as an issue, he has responded to questions.
Between now and the election you can be sure that some Muslim will shoot, knife or blow-up something in this country in a terrorist act.
When it happens Trump needs to step to the microphones and explain to the people that “Mr. Khan’s law firm obtained visas for people like THAT to enter the country”.
It’ll be forgotten in a week? Hell, no! Manafort stirred up himself today. Eric Trump had already jumped in a couple days ago, saying his Dad had sort-of apologized for it. (He didn’t.)
For a towering business genius, Trump has been absolutely flailing on the public stage.
