Trump plans major campaign changes amid GOP intervention buzz, Giuliani says

GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will soon undertake another significant shift in the tone and staffing of his White House campaign, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani said.

The changes come amidst rumors that Republican leaders are mounting an "intervention" in an attempt to have Trump to accept professional political advice and embrace a less confrontational campaign style amidst flagging poll numbers and low morale in the party.

Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, who has close ties to Trump and is a top advisor on terrorism and national security issues, rejected the description of the shift as the result of an "intervention," as reported by NBC News.

"I wouldn't use the word 'intervention,' because its a word to describe what's done for drug addicts and alcoholics, and Trump is neither of those two things," Giuliani told NJ Advance Media Wednesday evening.

"But I think you're going to see Donald Trump campaigning in a somewhat different way going forward — an evolution that will focus much more on the positive than the negative."

That’s because the MSM the last two days are loving the word ‘intervention’ and forms a prominent place in the lead headlines even though it’s specifically indicated by Giuliani it’s the wrong description. The campaign will be shifting to a positive position regarding what people can expect with Trump as President . The shift creates a false narrative which is not reflected in the title. ‘Shift’ becomes a purely pejorative notion for the MSM narrative.

Campaigns ALWAYS make changes after the convention.

Even O’Reilly has this right and he knows Trump personally. Focus on the big picture positive changes, talk about his plans for making American Great Again, ignore the distractions, and toss out only a measured amount of Hillary criticism for those of us in Rio Freepublica.

Magically that will somehow not happen until the votes are counted.

The debates will push the reset button. He has to squash Hillary. I hope he’s already prepping.

Considering the media's dishonest evaluation of the conventions (media deemed the RNC a "disaster"), I fully expect Clinton to be declared the winner of the debates no matter what happens. The analysis will be pure anti-Trump while fawning over the "smartest woman in the world."

The headline is a smear and I’m sure the writer knows that. Guiliani specifically said that’s not what it is and to use the word is to imply something.

He’s filling arenas with thousands of people. Day after day. Sometimes twice a day.

Yesterday was a two a day, day. Jax and Daytona Beach. More outside than the house capacity crowd inside. But don't let that color the media's meme that Trump's supporters are demoralized. BTW...has Hillary topped 100 yet at one of her 'rallies'?

It looks like she said it Aug 1, so there was plenty of time for her to correct her mistake , and she did not.

The consensus is that if the election is about Trump he loses. If it’s about Cankles, he wins.

The only low morale around is in the Clinton camp which includes the MSM and GOPe and the few surviving Never Trump posters and pearl clutching Freepers still here.

This is ridiculous this woman can get away with this. I hope Mr. Trump uses that in an ad against her. He could destroy her campaign just using her own words. But he needs to show the clip.

You are so right. He needs to concentrate on policy. And he needs help in appearing more presidential and dignified. The first thing he needs to do is stop the name calling. If he says crooked Hillary or Lyin’ Ted one more time, I am going to put my lit cigarette out in my eyeball. He has to stop the name calling. It makes him seem that his IQ is around room temperature..and he needs to study the briefings on foreign policy and not talk about it anymore until he does. The difference between him and Palin, who also knew nothing about foreign policy, is that she would stay up all night reading the briefings. This is what they mean when they say he is willfully ignorant. I do not understand where his advisors are.

Media,Demorats,GOPe....appear to all be against the people....

But every coordinated theatrical attack on Trump is made to relentlessly counter and drown out Hillary’s actual criminal acts and treasonous betrayals of America.

Not to mention....If Hillary becomes Pres. then you can count on it that Islamic Shariah Law will be declared “culturally appropriate” law, for Muslims here in the USA..superseding the Constitution and secular law.

Which will last until the first time someone takes a shot at him. Then the twitter war will reignite.

Amen! He’s filling arenas with thousands of people. Day after day. Sometimes twice a day.

Versus criminal Clinton showing up in high schools with a few unlucky students forced to show up.

Trump post convention rally pictures and Criminal Clinton’s post convention rally pictures!

Literally all Trump has to do is seem Presidential.

Which is the hardest thing for him to do.
