At first I thought as many other people did, that if Trump had just left the Khan DNC speech alone and not mentioned it, that there would have been no controversy.
Now I’m beginning to see that the media would have used Khan anyway, whether Trump had responded or not, in this disgusting fashion to hit him on all things military.
Oh, and he should tread lightly on this “draft dodger” thing, or someone in the media might dredge up Bill’s infamous deferment.

Bingo. Khan is a tool (I use that term in the most demeaning sense). The Hillary! campaign would have used him in this way whether Trump had responded or ignored him.
