With the vet’s permission, I’d like to see Trump auction the medal and give the proceeds to a wounded vets’ organization.
I think what will happen, and I think this is the best thing to do, is that Trump will hold on to the medal until after he either loses the general election, or is inauguarated. Then he will return the medal to its rightful owner along with a handwritten letter. He might include some frames.
Trump should frame it place it in his office with a plack under it with the Veteran's name and say this will hang in the VA when I'm president as a reminder to what we owe our Vets, and as a constant reminder to be vigilant against bureaucracy that impedes care to our Veterans.
I have bought at least 40 PH’s from various Pawn Shops in Philadelphia. Pittsburgh and various places in FL, OH, and NY.I keep them to remember the sacrifice someone made to get it. Apparently heirs, friends and even the vet themselves don’t care about them. I do. Nobody EVER gave me one. If they did, I wouldn’t spit in his face for it. I was also given an equivalent of a Phillippine Bronze star for something I did while there by PC TSGT Alfredo Cabrera in 1971, who actually previously won it. If I’d have given that award back to him, it would have been spitting in his face.
We should be so lucky. Trump will probably start wearing it.
