Excellent point- though Josh Earnest made a point of telling the journos that this deal saved millions for the US tax payers. That is because the Iranians, expert carpet dealers as they are, had upped the ante by demanding huge reparations for not getting "their" money back in time.

Of course most sentinent people understand that unless the US wanted to they did not have to pay back anything.
