WASHINGTONThe Obama administration secretly organized an airlift of $400 million worth of cash to Iran that coincided with the January release of four Americans detained in Tehran, according to U.S. and European officials and congressional staff briefed on the operation afterward.
Wooden pallets stacked with euros, Swiss francs and other currencies were flown into Iran on an unmarked cargo plane, according to these officials. The U.S. procured the money from the central banks of the Netherlands and Switzerland, they said.
The money represented the first installment of a $1.7 billion settlement the Obama administration reached with Iran to resolve a decades-old dispute over a failed arms deal signed just before the 1979 fall of Irans last monarch, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

I’m curious has to where the video of the jet and the people deplaning the jet in Geneva we are seeing today, came from?
NSA? CIA?
I mean who knew to take video of an unmarked jet in the middle of the night?
Certainly not the MSM.
Wow, really... in Southern California?? That is strange.
I've only seen the anti-Hillary PAC and pro-Trump NRA ads on FNC. Haven't seen any of those same ads on other channels.
I saw one or two pro-Hillary ads on NESN (New England Sports Network), which runs Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins games. NESN is available throughout all six New England States. I guess New Hampshire is sort of a swing state, although it's gone pretty deep blue in the past few years.
Florida and Virginia FReepers are reporting they've seen NO Trump-approved ads yet. WHAT is he waiting for? Maybe Labor Day??
Dolly: Have you seen any Trump ads in Ohio yet?
Negative ads work best Two weeks before the election. Otherwise people forget about it.
Remember last winter Congress approved that weird upside down law that the Iran deal would be deemed approved unless it was rejected by 2/3 of both houses?
Not enough to make it a treaty.
But enough to approve this payment, which was a matter of public record and covered in the media to some extent.
Blame Obama for sure.
But our team ought to be ashamed of itself.
