Hillary Clinton's campaign Tuesday retweeted a post by former Marine Dakota Meyer calling on Republican Donald Trump to apologize for attacking the parents of a Muslim soldier who was killed in Iraq.
Meyer, 28, is the Marine Corps veteran who is married to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during the 2009 Battle of Ganjgal in Afghanistan.

Everybody keeps saying that Trump “attacked” the Kahns. Yet most people simply state it and restate it without explanation. No one ever explains exactly how he attacked them (at least not without adding in falsehoods or making major suppositions).
Saying that the mother should have been allowed to speak is hardly an attack on her; quite the opposite really. He didn’t say one negative thing against them personally that I heard, and he praised their son. Do all these people just think his tone should have been more reverential, regardless of what he actually (and more importantly didn’t) say or are they just buying the media’s reinterpretation of what happened?
Seeing so many on our side going along with the lefties on this one makes me think the safest route is not to say anything at all, no matter how innocuous and mild, about Gold Star parents, regardless of the false attacks they’ve made, unless you are going to outright praise them. I guess it’s an interesting lesson.

All the times I have seen Meyers on TV I came away with the impression that he is a decent guy that is woefully naïve. One would hope that he would smarten up under Sarah’s watchful eye....maybe not. Sarah supported Cruz for the US Senate in 2012. I think she has smartened up since. There is hope for him too!
