The fact that Ryan is going to Koch conferences and continuing to push the anti-Trump line says to me that he thinks he has the election in the bag. Maybe he has a deal with local Democrats to vote in the open primary, or maybe recent polls indicate that he is way ahead. The establishment learned from Cantor, and they came prepared in the Cochran election. They will do whatever it takes to keep their speaker in place. So, while I am hoping and praying, I am not optimistic.
If he wins, and Trump does, too, there needs to be a move to oust him as speaker in November. A Trump win will give him a lot of leverage over the Republican caucus.
On Wisconsin!
