During a town hall meeting in Nevada, Mike Pence was challenged on his support for Donald Trump despite Trump’s comments over the weekend criticizing a gold star family. Pence handled the situation well, first calming the crowd and then offering his respect to the person asking the question and then to the Khan family.
“You have a son in the military, how do you tolerate his disrespect?” the woman asked, referring to Trump’s comments over the weekend criticizing Khan’s family. Before she even finished her question the crowd began to boo. Pence waved for them to settle down. “It’s all right,” Pence said adding, “Folks, that’s what freedom looks like and that’s what freedom sounds like.” This brought a round of applause.
Pence turned back toward the woman, who had taken her seat, and said, “Let me just say first I want to honor your son’s service to the country and your family’s service to the country. I truly do.” This brought another round of applause.
“I know this has been much in the news of late, in the last few days, but as I said last night as Donald Trump said Saturday night, Captain Khan is an American hero and we honor him and honor his family as we do all gold star families in this country,” Pence said.
Pence then went beyond the talking points by adding some detail. “The story of Captain Khan is an incredibly inspiring story. June 8th, 2004 he would fall in Iraq…an explosive device in a taxi,” Pence said. He continued,”He was awarded medals, posthumously, because like any great leader he…the accounts of that were that Captain Khan moved people out of the way, told them stay back and he went toward the danger.” “Honestly, again, Captain Khan is an American hero,” Pence

Agree! The key word is “demoralize.” If they can succeed in demoralizing even a few Trump supporters, it’s considered a success. The polls are being heavily manipulated to the same ends.
But we’re onto them. Trump’s crowds just get bigger and bigger, while Hillary’s get smaller and smaller. We’ve seen this movie before; we know exactly how it ends.

And I know why: there are increasing rumors that Hillary Clinton is not as hale as led to believe by the Clinton campaign staff. And those rumors increased based on the way she acted a bit off-normal in public during the Democratic National Convention. The MSM is scared because if they find out she has serious health issues that make her not viable for the Presidency by the end of August 2016, it's going to be a gigantic nightmare for the DNC to find a replacement for her.
IMO, Obama saying Trump is unfit to serve today is another provocation. The left want Trump taking the bait and lashing out. Soon, they will just say: "There he goes again."
As Rudy G suggested on FNC this morning, Trump should not engage direct with the Khans. He should focus on one person...Hillary.
Let your VP respond; Trump did a great job picking Pence and ought to let him do his job.

And top it off by comparing Trump’s ‘sacrifice’ with that of military Khan’s death.
This morning I heard that apparently his comments have digressed into Trump not backing veterans.
That’s the kind of crap he can stir up with an ill-conceived comment.
All Hillary has to do is sit back and watch.

It’s obvious to me, the wrong person died on the battlefield. It should have been the old man - not the old man’s son. The old man may claim to be American; but, he is not. How on earth was he naturalized when claiming allegiance to our Constitution while still practicing Sharia law and their rules? His son, thankfully, was an American, a brave American, who not only risked and gave his life, but more than likely actually did something against his old pop’s wishes....he joined the American forces to fight against ‘kin’.
I wonder if this would be happening if Pence had responded...

Trump should do exactly what Pence did but conclude by advising the Khan’s to speak with Hillary Clinton and ask her why she voted for
the Iraq War.
As far as I can tell he said he would have liked to hear the Captain's mother speak.
