I have the same problem. I got so caught up 4 years ago, that I was physically sick when we lost. I truly believed we would win.

It’s happening again, too caught up in the rally’s and Free Republic, must step back and find something else to do (I’m retired).

Election day: no TV, no radio, no computer until about 9 pm.

The Donald will have my vote no matter what he says!

And, I will continue to pray every day for Donald Trump and his family, and everyone here.

Politics is not worth getting that invested in. It's easy to get sucked in and to attach too much importance to the outcome - as if any one of us has that sort of control anyway! Might as well worry about the box office return on any given movie, it's just outside of our ken.

I'm not saying the result isn't important, just that one shouldn't take responsibility for it (any more than the weather), and should have a life that goes happily on regardless of what the government (or the population at large) does.

You’ll just have to make yourself back off. I know exactly what you’re talking about, as I almost died on the Monday night before the first obama win. Not joking here either.

Go anywhere, and do anything other than listen to news, watch news, or read news, it’s the only way. I still have to do this, especially this election cycle.
