Good, then!
Well let me say that for me to change my views of Trump required that I look at three primary things:
- What position does he have ‘on the issues’ I care about for me, my family and this country.
- Who are the politicians I admire supporting him. I.E. Sessions, Newt etc. and their positions.
- Most of all self-examination on why do I vote and what this means ‘FOR’ for my family, country and fellowman.
The third was a painstaking ordeal because I needed to know I get it right. And for that clearly understanding we vote “For the issues” we care about in an election if we truly care for this country and the welfare of our families.
Further, A non-vote,write-in etc. for President means nothing more than someone else will vote for you because You WILL have a President, and it WILL BE be either Trump or Hillary. (Reality check)
For me I had to stop listening to the media’s framing Trumps statements.....really look at his history closer and what was ‘consistent’... This proved an eye opener as much of what he claims now he really has held regardless of the political party he associated with at the time...and as much regardless of what he speaks in battling
In the heat of this I discovered as well that the Conservatives today cover a wide and varied terrain...these are ‘not’ consistent...and ‘the meaning’ of what Conservative is equally as varied.... The same could be said of Liberal.
Therefore.. the Conservative/Liberal approach to ‘this’ election has indeed changed from what was once clear and defined differences...so that was no longer a marker for me.
As we know, men and woman have bled and died so that I have a voice in elected officials. For that reason alone one should not refrain from voting by stomping on their graves to prove some manufactured self righteous reason justifying that...it’s no more than an easy way out for not participating in the voting process.
Additionally ....I gave Trump lots of room for how he expresses what he states...remembering he’s not a politician nor a statesman...but what we see before our eyes is absolutely the creation of one... and he’s done more than admirable with all he’s been up against from the get go...
If the man can do what he’s done throughout this election.....it’s not a stretch by any means he will be successful in what he wants to accomplish in Washington...and there will be plenty there to assist him to do just that....and who will oppose him..but If he just accomplishes a quarter of what he wants it’s far better than we’ve had in the past 8 yrs..and I suspect he’ll do more than a quarter...
There’s more I could write but sufficient to say what has been said.....but as a side note...For any to even imagine Clintons on the levers of power over this nation is utter insanity when it’s within this nations peoples to prevent that.
