Trump shouldn’t go after a Gold Star mother.

It is more like he was going after the Gold Star father for not allowing his wife to speak...but either way, as sympathetic and considerate I think we should be to Gold Star families, when they step into the political fray they open themselves to some criticism. I wish Trump had showed respect and thanks to them first before this comment.

I agree w/ this wholeheartedly. If someone wants to speak out on an issue, they should be prepared to hear an opposing viewpoint.

The tapes show Trump appearing to be callous towards a grieving mother, which the MSM will play up. My p.o.v. was that Trump didn’t need to give the appearance of going after a Gold Star mother.

But yes, Trump is entitled to voice his opinion on someone who speaks out against him. But as even Trump said .. it wasn’t the mother speaking at the DNC.

He allowed his wife to speak; she said she was just too emotional to speak at the convention when talking about the death of her son. She’s spoken the press other times recently.
