As I mentioned in an earlier post, when lawyer Khizr Khan stood on his son’s grave at the DNC demanding to know if Mr. Trump had read the Constitution while proudly holding up his copy, I was hoping someone would ask him if he had ever read it as well since he was holding a copy of the Constitution that had NEVER been opened! The spine is undamaged, the cover is still glossy shiny, and the only wear and tear seems to be a folded corner from being in his pocket.
Think of the combined tactics of fake piety (Bill Clinton’s giant unopened Bible) with using tragedy to forward your political agenda (Paul Wellstone’s children turning his funeral into a political rally.
