No, it can work, depending on the States selected and the candidates, plural, to bolster in those particularly important States for Trump. Doesn't have to be Romney at all. Could be different candidates likely to steal votes from DJT in those most-important-to-Trump States.

What silly nonsense, I thought when I read the article's headline. But then I read the article itself. You're right, it could work.

Not a snowballs chance to work. The plan is too run a conservative in at least three deep red states where “Hillary has no chance to win”. This means they think they can find a conservative that can win these three states “denying an electoral college victory for trump”.

They have to win these three states, otherwise Hillary or Trump will win them. If Trump wins, they lose. If Hillary wins them, she wins the electoral college. If Hillary wins the electoral college, then the selection of the president goes to the House and they lose.

Now, if they know of a conservative that could win “three deep red states”, then why didn’t they get that conservative to run in the primaries?
