That's been their MO since long before the Civil War. The only difference is that now anyone who iisn't a part of the democrat machinery is considered to be part of a dangerous minority.

To Hell with the fact that the majority of the population fits the democrat definition of a minority these days, they slice and dice the majority into so many different little categories that they can define anyone as part of a dangerous minority, from members of a specific church to people who dare to work for a particular company.
