Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is thinking about supporting the Libertarian presidential ticket this year. Well, at least, that’s what the Libertarian ticket says.

In a interview Thursday afternoon with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, former Govs. Gary Johnson and Bill Weld, of New Mexico and Massachusetts, respectively, said they have had spoken with Romney and he was “considering the possibility” of endorsing the two of them.

In a previous CNN interview last week, Johnson similarly alluded to support from another high-profile, former Republican governor: Jeb Bush, whose brother Marvin announced his support for the Libertarian ticket in a radio appearance Wednesday.

In Thursday’s interview, Weld broke the news that Jonathan Bush—CEO of Watertown-based Athenahealth and cousin of Jeb Bush, as well as former President George W. Bush—was supporting them financially.

I'll start to worry when they get Billy on their side.

The ineffable George Will had a column yesterday salivating over Trump’s supposed lack of appeal to Mormon voters...and how this might allow Hillary to carry Arizona.

When the GOP establishment got its nominees of choice - Bushes, McCain, Romney, third party candidates are “spoilers” and their supporters are “just wasting their votes” or outright traitors. Now that the nominee is a candidate not approved by the GOP elites, non-candidates like Gary Johnson are suddenly no longer “spoilers” or “wasted votes.” What a big surprise!

Libertarians are suppose to be against foreign interventions, and yet here they are craving Romney’s endorsement!

You know, this guy Mitt Romney almost makes Ted Cruz likeable. But then I have to say that two bigger douche bags outside of the Democrat Party would be very hard to find.

Pfffttt...Gary Johnson sold out libertarian principles for Bill Weld, who is just plain wrong, wrong, WRONG.

But Massachusetts Republican governors aren’t friends of conservatives, or libertarians for that matter.

2012 Trump endorsed Mitt, contributed to Mitt’s campaign, Mitt praised Trump

2016 Mitt calls Trump a “fraud”, threatens to endorse the opponent

Why?

Oh yeah, Mitt’s a douche.

Romney is just like his harebrained father, George, who declined to endorse Goldwater (at least he didn’t endorse LBJ). Old George ended up with his foot in his mouth when he claimed he was “brainwashed’ on the Vietnam War and his career topped out with his appt. as Secretary of HUD.

Don’t think anyone should ever care about what Willard does or thinks.

He’s a choker that thinks he will be a god.

I was a big fan of Michael Medved. He has really disappointed me.

Look, guys, you’ve made your point. It would be great to have the 21st century version of John Locke, Thomas Jefferson, or William F. Buckley to vote for this year. We have what we have. And if the lying criminal gets in, with multiple SCOTUS appointments, amnesty within a 100 days, and the outright criminality and incompetence she has already shown, we may never have another chance to save this country.

GOP presidential candidates have not won decisively since 1988. It’s not getting any easier. Please let’s just get Trump in as the better of the two major candidates, then apply pressure and influence on him as best we can. If that doesn’t work and he sucks, then run a “true conservative” against him in the primaries in 2020.

If we don’t stop the lying criminal this Nov then the US will well move beyond the point of no return.
