Mad Magazine was a staple for me and an influence on my sometimes outrageous sense of humor growing up in Detroit.Who can forget Spy versus Spy and other satirical send-ups?

Spy vs spy? I remember when I had this issue and showed the cover to my father-in-law who almost had a heart attack

I also grew up in Detroit, reading MAD magazine...it was a staple in the 1960’s and 70’s.
I loved the Movie satires and Dave Berg.

I do not think it is as good as it was but this is true for comics and other publications.

Longevity in many cases ensures mediocrity.

The same can be said for TV shows like Saturday Night Live before we called it “SNL”.
