A defiant Donald Trump on Wednesday morning in South Florida called on Russia to find Hillary Clintons missing emails.
Russia, if youre listening, I hope youre able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing, Trump said to a room of TV cameras at Trump National Doral. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.
Trump spoke briefly and then took questions for nearly an hour on a long list of topics including Russia, his positions on immigration, trade and Israel. But the most colorful portions related to Russia, Clinton and former Democratic Party chair U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Weston.
Trump repeatedly denied having ties to Russia. The Clinton campaign maintains that Russia hacked into the Democratic National Committee emails, which were made public on Friday, to help Trump.
Its just a total deflection this whole thing with Russia. ... By the way they hacked, they probably have her 33,000 e-mails. I hope they do. They probably have her 33,000 e-mails that she lost and deleted because youd see some beauties there. So lets see.
The Clinton campaign was quick to respond. Said advisor Jake Sullivan: "This has to be the first time that a major presidential candidate has actively encouraged a foreign power to conduct espionage against his political opponent. That's not hyperbole, those are just the facts. This has gone from being a matter of curiosity, and a matter of politics, to being a national security issue."
Referring to statements about whether he could have been the hacker, Trump said: Its so far-fetched. Its so ridiculous. Honestly I wish I had that power. Id love to have that power.

I think this is possibly the most brilliant political move in decades.

Trump can play his opponents like no one I have ever seen. How much is planned by him is hard to say, because his remarks, as today, always appear to be made as if they are totally spontaneous, impromptu statements. I reduce it down to him having an abundance of common sense plus high intelligence that no opponent can match. Notice the initial knew jerk reaction the media/politicians have, then the pause, then the realization that this guy has ‘trumped’ them again. Yet, they keep on being suckered over and over again. They will not accept that they are dealing with someone who can beat them any day in week in this political chess match.
Indeed they do not. I am frequently amazed how what is obviously meant to be a joke is taken seriously.
I couldn’t have said it better. I too don’t know how much is planned or off the cuff. And let’s be clear, some of his off the cuffs stmts appear to have got him into some hot water, but the effect seems to pass quickly.
It’s as if he has set up two Trumps. If you think about it, he is doing nothing different than the Dems. If the results suck, they didn’t really mean it; or his intentions were noble. If the results are good, it was just him being him. But he is unquestionably beating them at their own game and is doing it infinitely more smoothly.
One Trump is the doofus braggadocio who shoots his mouth off and one is the one who calls the shots nobody else is
willing to do. It’s quite interesting. But he does this with the sure knowledge that the media that will surely attack him is all on one side of the boat and if they can be driven to the other side of the boat, they will all go as a stampede. He knows this well, and thus has internalized a very high degree of confidence that is infectious and in this case very effective.
It’s fascinating and enormously entertaining. He really has a media savvy that is incredible. He really flipped ‘em this time.
.
Worth a try!
Go Donald.
The media needs it.
"This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility," Obama told Medvedev.
