Is the DNC leak Putin’s payback for State Department’s involvement in Russia’s elections?

Former U.S. officials who worked on Russia policy with Clinton say that Putin was personally stung by Clinton’s December 2011 condemnation of Russia’s parliamentary elections, and had his anger communicated directly to President Barack Obama.

They say Putin and his advisers are also keenly aware that, even as she executed Obama’s “reset” policy with Russia, Clinton took a harder line toward Moscow than others in the administration. And they say Putin sees Clinton as a forceful proponent of “regime change” policies that the Russian leader considers a grave threat to his own survival.

“He was very upset [with Clinton] and continued to be for the rest of the time that I was in government,” said Michael McFaul, who served as the top Russia official in Obama’s national security council from 2009 to December 2011 and then was U.S. ambassador to Moscow until early 2014. “One could speculate that this is his moment for payback.”

The idea that Putin was irritated with Clinton over interference in the election seems well supported. Kremlin-controlled RT published a story in December 2011 alleging that the State Department was paying an election observer for stories of election violations:

Putin really wanted to get back at Hitlery, he would release the 30,000+ so-called “personal” emails the she deleted and didn’t turn over to the State Department. That would guarantee she never gets elected.

Hopefully that's coming next! You know your nation has reached a pretty sorry state when you can trust the Russians more than you can trust the democrats...but there we are.

Seeing that the email dump contains an indictment of the media for bias and fraud, the media have less than no interest in promoting their contents.

Hillary and the DNC have a long long enemies list, probably fifty third world countries extorted by the Clintons, families of her murder victims (think Benghazi for example, think Vince Foster for another, think Ron Brown for another), families of women abused by her loving hubby and attacked by Hillary, etc., etc.

All of those folks have hackers in the family, know hackers, etc.

Russian involvement is about a one in a thousand shot—if Hillary’s propaganda corp got this one right it is only because a broken clock has the correct time twice a day.

“Funny how it only took about 24 hours for the “Russians hacked the emails” lie to become the conventional wisdom. No one seems to be talking about what’s IN the emails anymore.”

You’re joking, right? The Hillary/DNC e-mails are all over the social media and the DNC convention floor.
