Author, pastor and prophet Tim LaHaye died of a stroke on Monday. He was 90.
LaHaye was perhaps best known for his Left Behind end times series with co-author Jerry B. Jenkins.
"Thrilled as I am that he is where he has always wanted to be, his departure leaves a void in my soul I don't expect to fill until I see him again," Jenkins said. "The Tim LaHaye I got to know had a pastor's heart and lived to share his faith. He listened to and cared about everyone, regardless of age, gender, or social standing. If Tim was missing from the autograph table or the green room of a network television show, he was likely in a corner praying with someone he'd just metfrom a reader to a part-time bookstore stock clerk to a TV network anchorman."

I am pretty sure he funded an major arena for Liberty University.
Correct, the days of the prophets are long ago...
Matthew 11:13 For all the prophets and the Torah prophesied until John. 14 And if ye are willing to receive it, this is Elijah, that is to come.
Matthew 3:4 Now John himself was clothed in camels hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
2 Kings 1:7 Then he said to them, What kind of man was it who came up to meet you and told you these words?
8 So they answered him, A hairy man wearing a leather belt around his waist.
And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.

Tim LaHaye Is Now Home Evidence for Creation
Tim LaHaye, well-known evangelical leader and co-author of the Left Behind series, went home to be with the Lord early on July 25, 2016, after suffering a stroke. Dr. LaHaye was instrumental in the start of the Institute for Creation Research and served on its Board of Trustees for many years. In September 1970, he invited Dr. Henry Morris, then head of an engineering department at Virginia Tech, to move to San Diego to help with the founding of Christian Heritage College (now San Diego Christian College). ICR was a division of the college for a decade before splitting off to form its own ministry of researching the science that supports the accuracy and authority of the Bible. Through Dr. LaHayes work with Dr. Morris, countless people have heard the evidence that the Bible is true and authoritative in everything it says. We are grateful for the influence of this godly man and join others in praying for the comfort of his family.

Consider the source of the word “prophet” -
it was from ‘Charisma’ magazine -
where personal experience overrules the Word.
I bought and read cover to cover all 12 of the original series (back in my holy roller days when I adhered to the rapture theology), and they're not the best written novels ever, and they didn't bring me to Jesus (they didn't have to iykwim). I tried to read the three prequels and the finale (my library's copies) but couldn't get into them. IMO the property jumped the shark in the finale.
