I visited this nuclear project with an engineering group when it was under construction. Very sensible. The article fails to mention the role of then Gov. Mario Cuomo in killing it.
As to “local opposition,” coincidentally I had a relative in the town at the time who had no problem with it.
This is anti-nuclear, eco-insanity.
All LIBs are mentally ill. Econut LIBs are uber-insane. They are a waste of space and air.
