I treasure these quotes, but have a problem with this portion:

I took down a suspected rabid racoon a few years ago - .22LR to the upper body so I could turn over the head for testing. I did it completely without hatred, but also without hesitation. There is no danger in a cool, clinical approach, so long as it is a firm approach to real problems.
