Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump confirmed a Bloomberg report that he is interested in setting up Super PAC to defeat Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) when they next run for office.

How many times will we have to read, here at FR, that Trump isn’t running the show right, by so-called keyboard experts? Sheesh.
So God chose Obama...God chose Clinton...and now God has chosen Trump...

Now Kasich is open to endorsing Donald Trump, and only two days ago he was earnestly telling everyone he just couldn't find it in his heart to endorse.
Trump knows what he doing.

Exactly. It may sound strange to you, but God’s thoughts are not our thoughts. We don’t know the reasons for many things, but we DO know that God IS in charge, and He DOES choose the leaders He wants, for whatever His Purposes.
I was just about to write that.
I tend to think Trump knows what he is doing these. He has the best consultants money can buy, combined with what seems to be a very good sense of where this campaign is going.
Now the next weeks news cycle will be dominated by the democratic convention. The week after that by taking heads trying to figure out what happened in the convention. he has a narrow window where they will not be vultures, as they have bigger things to chase. This is an excellent time to do whatever internal housecleaning needs to be do done now, to put down any folks that think they will embarrass Trump down the line like they did in the Mexican judge statement.
Next time the press jumps on Trump he needs every single republican the press might go to (with the exception of Cruz), to defend him and point out how what he said it the truth. The only way to do that is to make sure they all know this is the time to unite behind Trump and good things happen to those that do, while those that doe not will be forgotten.
He has shown pretty flawless execution so far, at times when the action did not seem to make sense. For example, all the emphasis on his family at an entirely feel good level at the convention, why do that? Well because if folks come away with the feeling his kids are all right, they will not fall for the personal attacks that will occur sometime in the next three month. It will happen, personal attacks will be made. He is thinking ahead all his actions seem to be well thought out.
So I would suggest he knows what he is doing.
No, actually it doesn’t sound “strange” to me. I know Who’s in charge. The United States has become, in many ways, like Sodom. The question becomes is this one more “leader” continuing down the path or is the the “chosen” one to lead us out of inequity? I won’t question God. The jury’s still out on Donald...

OK, then you of course know that God uses all kinds of people for His purposes, whatever those purposes may be.
The more I listen to DJT, the more I am hopeful that God has heard our prayers, and gifted us a truly genuine, brilliant man who loves his country like no other candidate, and has the ability more than anyone to confront and hopefully win against the current Gov’t Mafia Machine.
While DJT may not be perfect (though IMO, he is as “perfect for the job” as one gets), God has used non-perfect people in the past. After all, no one is perfect, except God.

I see what you are saying here, Lakewood. We really don’t know what God has in store for America. This nation surely doesn’t deserve His Mercy. So I guess we’ll just have to keep praying that He has chosen Donald to help restore our nation to its Christian roots.

It’s not enough the Cruz is done. I wouldn’t even mind if the superPAC paid a crew to stand outside Cruz’s home yelling “Lyin Ted!!” thru a bullhorn 24 hours a day for the next 24 years. Kasich deserves similar treatment.

I agree Trump is a fighter but needs to stay focused on the only fight that matters. However, I’ll bet the 3rd person he wants to spend money against is Flake or Sasse.

I think we’re just misunderstanding each other here. I think you took my original post as excusing Trump in this matter. I was responding to the guy asking why Trump is our nominee, and I do believe he is the only one in the field who can beat Hillary. I didn’t mind his SuperPAC comment the other day, but he needs to drop that kind of stuff now.
Anyway, sorry for my comment to you. If you didn’t misunderstand me the first time, I think I did misunderstand your response.
